The car park had been built without a waterproofing layer and as a result was allowing water to leak through the structure and was in need of renovation. The car park needed to stay open during the refurbishment and therefore the contractor specified TREMCO's MMA Rapid Cure Flexible System for the roof deck as a result of its rapid drying properties.
Once the product has been applied it can be walked on within 4 hours, allowing contractors PBM/SEE to complete the roof deck swiftly whilst causing minimal disruptions to customers. An added benefit of this system is that it can be applied in cold conditions and does not need to be reactivated if it gets rained on, making it an ideal choice of product for projects that are having the waterproofing layer applied during the winter months.
TREMCO are on NCP’s preferred product list and as the contractor had used the system on past projects, they were confident specifying it for the refurbishment of St Marks Car Park. TREMCO’s technical service department were on site to support the contractor and as part of this free service, moisture and pull off tests were carried out.
