CP203
Compriband Thixotropic Epoxy Adhesive

A two part epoxy resin system. The base resin component is thixotropic plus a low viscosity liquid hardener. The two part system gives rapid strength gain obtaining mechanical properties several times those of high quality concrete. The product is non shrinking.

CP203 is used as a structural support and adhesive for surface fixed Migutec/Migutrans movement joints where thin section grouting is required.  The resin improves load transfer and durability of the flooring substrate, and is intended for use in addition to recommended mechanical fixings.

  • Solvent free non-shrink system
  • Excellent bond strength with in-built flexibilty
  • Suitable for use on damp structures
  • Will penetrate gaps of width 0.1 mm and above
  • Excellent performance in harsh environments
  • Good chemical and water resistance
  • Complies with the requirements of EN1504 Part 5
  • Mix and apply the resin within the ‘usable life’ as given in Technical Data Table. At the end of the usable life, the mix will start to generate a great deal of heat. At this time any unused material should be mixed with sand to reduce the heat output and discarded
  • The Migutec/Migutrans profile should be located and the position adjusted immediately after resin application, allowing excess resin to exude under gentle pressure
  • Exuded resin, tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately from the profile and floor area before curing.  The uncured resin can be removed with scrapers, rags and wiped clean with solvent if required
  • Once the resin has “firmed up” the profile is secured using the recommended mechanical fixings.
Once cured the resin can only be removed by mechanical abrasion

Description

CP203 is a thixotropic, two part epoxy resin system (for use with Migutec/Migutrans surface fixed expansion joint profiles where there is an identified requirement for load transfer). The base resin component is thixotropic plus a low viscosity liquid hardener. CP203 can be brush applied to the substrate. The two part system gives rapid strength gain obtaining mechanical properties several times those of high quality concrete. The product is non-shrinking.  The hardened resin is resistant to most chemicals, stable to sea water, petroleum products and resists freeze thaw cycles.

Usage Guidelines

Preparation

  • All surfaces should be free from chemical contamination, oil, grease and debris
  • Concrete should be scarified or acid etched to remove any laitance
  • All surfaces should be free from standing water
  • Small gaps may be blown out using compressed air
  • Steel should be free from rust and flaking mill scale.

Health + Safety Precautions

  • USE IN WELL VENTILATED CONDITIONS and ensure all recommended protective equipment is worn during handling & use of this product. For full recommendation, refer to safety data sheet.
